The director of guest services is also responsible for responding to guests' requests and concerns and accommodating groups to ensure guests are satisfied and provide repeat business.
As a director of guest services, one must provide his or her team with the resources to ensure guests’ satisfaction and ensure that the entire front desk department operates within the scope of a budget and well-defined management practices. The director of guest services also has to maximize suite revenue and occupancy and create a positive team-oriented environment focused on guests.
Director of guest services jobs require three to five years of hotel experience along with supervisory experience. The director of guest services must be able to inspire front desk staff to reach high levels of performance.
