The Grosse Pointe War Memorial (GPWM) ****is presently undergoing many positive changes throughout the facility, and is upgrading its food and beverage and catering operations. They are building a new brand with exceptional, high quality cuisine along with a Ritz Carlton level of service. The complex offers a very popular and unique venue for weddings, social and corporate events, non-profits groups, and community gatherings.
This heritage venue is located along the picturesque shores of Lake St. Clair in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan and is designated as a state and national historic site. Formerly the home of the Russell Alger family, this mansion built in 1910 was donated to the community in 1949 in honor of the veterans that served in World War II. The War Memorial provides educational, cultural, civic and patriotic programs, services and facilities to enrich the lives of the Community.
The Food and Beverage Director will oversee and build a new front of the house service team, develop training programs which create a high level of service and a guest experience. The GPWM will soon be obtaining a liquor license and requires a candidate with a strong beverage background to set up the new beverage department and institute all systems and procedures. Prefer quality hotel, country club, or conference center catering and banquet operations experience. The F&B Director will also be involved in catering sales.
Prefer candidates with a Hospitality Degree who have a desire to elevate an established, stunning facility to a whole new culinary level.
