Our hospital is licensed for 454 acute care beds, and is guided by a 15-member volunteer Board of Trustees. The hospital is the city of Salem's largest private employer, with approximately 3,500 full and part-time employees. **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is seeking a dynamic, experienced, team-oriented and quality focused information services professional to assume the role of Cook. The cook is responsible for both patient and retail food services campus wide. The cook must be able to function in a high speed, constantly changing environment, while being able to multi-task. This position requires a team oriented individual who is able to provide support and assistance when needed.
General Responsibilities: • Completes all set-up and preparatory work to prevent outages and service delays. • Demonstrates excellent customer service. • Maintains a true sense of urgency by completing all tasks assigned in a timely manner and provides effective and efficient turn-around of food production to prevent unnecessary service delays to the customer.

Minimum Qualifications: • Current Food Handler’s Card required • High school diploma, GED, or completion of a job training program required • Training in food/beverage preparation and presentation strongly preferred • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a customer service position required • Knowledge of therapeutic/modified diets preferred • Must have knowledge of, and ability to, operate all food preparation equipment • Must be able to adhere to all proper food handling techniques
Additional Information: This position is designated as Waive Daily Overtime. Statutory overtime will be paid after 40 hours in one work week.
