Job Title
Lead Cashier

Job Profile
This position will serve primarily in a supervisory capacity.
The Cashier Lead is expected to oversee and run all Mill functions, complete necessary daily administrative duties and enforce/maintain all service standards and policies in the absence of or in conjunction with the manager.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Strong math and reading skills
*Knowledge of food, beer and styles of service
*Knowledge of pertinent health regulations and liquor laws
*Food Handler Card required (certification available through Kingsmill upon hire)
*TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) certification required (available through Kingsmill upon hire)
*Ability to lift, push, pull, carry a minimum of 40 pounds
*Must be able to lift loaded food tray above shoulder
*Ability to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach for an extended period of time
*Ability to stand for 8-10 hours in a hot environment
*Ability to bend at waist and perform repetitive foot and hand action
*Good hand/eye/foot coordination required
*Ability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays
REQUIRED:
*1 years equivalent food and beverage/restaurant experience or retail cashiering experience required
*6 months of supervisory experience
*Must be at least 21 years of age
*High school diploma or equivalent required
PREFERRED:
*Experience with Micros Point of Sale system a plus
Responsibilities:
Supervise all Mill activities, perform operating and closing duties and manage employees ensuring all expected standards are met and company policies are enforced
Provide service to guests to include explaining the menu and specials, taking orders, upselling and securing payment and other needs as required according to established procedures
Perform accurate cash handling
Administrative duties to include scheduling, inventory, ordering daily commissary supplies, daily paperwork and reporting
Maintaining consistent communication with chefs in regards to sales and product usage
Maintaining inventory levels and processing the receiving of inventory through Stratton Warren
Assisting in managing labor costs
Maintaining product levels (condiments)
Monitor and enforce state liquor laws, constant alcohol awareness
Training employees by demonstrating proper service standards, procedures and policies and sharing menu knowledge as well as holding meetings and daily line-ups
Maintaining thorough cleanliness and sanitation of work area; other cleaning as necessary
Enforcing health and hygiene standards
Prepare sandwiches/menu items per standards/recipes
Empty trash as needed throughout the day
Perform other duties as assigned
