Director of Revenue Management - Hilton Hotel College Station
Right in the heart of Texas, the Hilton College Station & Conference Center is located at the intersection of University Drive and Tarrow Boulevard, less than two miles from Texas A&M University.

The hotel has 303 luxuriously appointed guest rooms, with over 65 suites, several in-room Jacuzzi suites and a two bedroom Presidential Suite on the top floor, overlooking the beautiful Brazos Valley. With over 27,000 square feet of meeting and ballroom space, the Hilton can easily play host to not only large conventions and corporate meetings, but also most any size banquet, wedding reception or social event.

Within a three mile radius of the hotel, guests can shop at the Post Oak Mall, visit the Brazos Valley Museum, or tour the new George Bush Library located on the campus of Texas A&M University. The Messina Hof Winery, located just minutes from the hotel, offers daily tours of the winery, vineyard, and wine cellar as well as samplings of the many award winning wines produced here in the Brazos Valley.

GENERAL PURPOSE:

•To maximize revenue, profit, and market share associated with rooms and function space.

•Manages the processes associated with demand, revenue, forecasting, opportunity analysis, and inventory management.

•With hotel leadership, determines and manages hotels sales strategy and pricing for transient, group, and catering.

•Identifies future market and hotel opportunities and effectively communicates through the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Identifying revenue problems and opportunities with sufficient lead time to positively impact revenues. Finding new ways to effectively generate revenues. Consistently taking a strategic approach for each hotel.

•Dealing effectively with people, creating teamwork, taking charge, generating enthusiasm, motivating and using an uplifting and lead-by-example leadership approach.

•Ensure a strategic mix of business and pricing strategies are set for each hotel based on market conditions to maximize revenue and profitability.

•Continuous analysis of competitive sets, price positioning, seasonality and mix.

•Use all Yield Management tools available to maximize efforts

•Manage property participation and production through relevant Internet sites and other distribution channels (CRO, GDS, ADS, and Travel Agency Consortiums).

•Assist in developing the annual property Business and Marketing Plans.

•Complete the day-by-day budget model for the annual Business Plans.

•Teach and coach company managers to strive for room's revenue forecasts to be accurate within 5%.

•Ensure ongoing reservation sales training is being conducted with property Front Office and Reservation Sales staffs.

•Continually seeks improvement in revenue management practices.

•Provide Displacement Analysis solutions as needed.

•Lead the annual Request for Proposal (RFP) process

Technical Skills

•Excellent knowledge of transient, group, and catering customer segments.

•Excellent personal management skills; time management, meeting deadlines, effective communication and presentations skills.
