Position Title:
Director of Marketing - Fine Dining Restaurant Sector
The award-winning fine dining icon in the restaurant industry is seeking an experienced Director of Marketing
The Director of Marketing – West Coast should have experience in the restaurant industry and will be responsible for the marketing activities for a diverse collection of award-winning chef inspired, memorable, experiential venues. The Director of Marketing will be responsible for supporting the Vice President of Marketing, leading proactive partnerships and reactive support of the diverse and eclectic mix of fine dining venues with a team of talented support – in-house and agency.
Responsibilities include:
•Be the face of the legendary brands
•Be Food Bloggers’ best friend
•Partner with CA’s premier chefs
•Be a vital part of the restaurant scene, cultural institutions and sports & entertainment establishments
•Keep the menus on the pages and sales collateral in stock, bring to life compelling website content, oversee communication of marketing plans with management & restaurant operations, and most importantly win the trust & respect of managers, chefs & corporate management
•Develop and activate the West Coast Marketing plan, which could include
o Launch a series of summer evenings with leading brewers at Downtown LA’s best dining venues
o Forget wine dinners; develop Wine Months with pairings, seasonal dishes, special appearances by Wine Makers & celebrity Wine Aficionados, live Twitter interviews, YouTube simulcasts
o Bring the heritage of several of LA’s iconic restaurants into the spotlight of today’s fast-moving media landscape
o Grow a happy hour and late-night scene at some of the most beautiful dining rooms in Southern California
o Launch an initiative to use the smart phone in your pocket as the key to accessing guests when they are not in the lounge or at the table
o Develop a calendar to bring our high caliber chefs to So Cal’s most influential charitable events
o Write about food – a lot! For email blasts, web content, etc. You must be a stellar communicator, both verbal and written.
o Analyze sales data to drive marketing strategy & decisions
o 7 years of Director level Marketing Experience
