Position Description
This role will be responsible for generating new business primarily with corporate segments while growing existing revenues within the current customer base for Country Inn & Suites - Sunnyvale.
•Implement and execute an aggressive and concise Sales and Catering Action Plan with measureable objectives
•Achieve individual and team goals within assigned market segment
•Maintain proper flow of information within the hotel by reviewing sales work file of assigned accounts
•Identify qualified new business opportunities through prospecting
•Utilizes Brand Tools and programs to effectively sell Country Inn & Suites
•Drive incremental corporate business from existing accounts
•Generate in a short period of time a growing and incremental revenue stream
•Manages customer satisfaction within assigned account base
•Stay competitive in the market by keeping up to date on area hotel rates, programs, corporate businesses and occupancies
•This position reports to the Director of Sales
•Develops and implements strategies for achieving individual corporate sales goals
Position Requirements
-High degree of integrity
-Experience in hospitality sales (corporate sales a plus)
-Thorough understanding of distribution channels and RFP process
Sound knowledge of the corporate travel associations and key people within the network
-Outstanding presentation and communications skills, both oral and written
-Focused customer qualifying and business negotiation experience
-Professional credentials and a personal style that will open doors at the top of potential customer organizations
-Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Software, i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point
-Knowledge of CRM sales database (Opera and Delphi)
-Knowledge of web browsers and search engine research practices
-Ability to learn quickly in a new position
