Corrections Food Service Supervisor I

Job Profile
Under direct supervision of the Corrections Food Service Supervisor III, responsible for the preparation and serving of meals on an assigned shift; instructs and directs offenders on assignment; maintains disciplinary, safety, sanitary, security and custodial measures.
Position: 09793-29-63-330-11-01
Minimum Requirements:
Requires ability to lift and carry boxes/containers of supplies commodities, merchandise and/or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires ability to bend and stoop frequently during the shift and stand for extended periods of time. Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of high school. Requires two years experience in food preparation in a large scale food operation. Requires completion of an approved course Pre-Service Orientation within six months of employment; requires a Food Service Sanitation Certificate issued by the Illinois Department of Public Health. Requires working knowledge of food and nutritional values.

Hours: 10:00 pm - 6:00 am Sunday-Thursday
Friday-Satursday days off
