Job Title
Specialist I, Assistant Catering Coordinator (Part-time)

Job Profile
This position entails a large amount of typing; data entry and work with/creation of excel spreadsheets. In addition to these duties this person will be trained to coordinate all aspects of catering at multiple College campuses, including helping clients choose menu, decoration, and service options. Maintain and reconcile catering accounts. Create and provide catering reports.
- Type food orders and perform data entry
- Create spreadsheets, forms and etc.
- Meet with clients on a daily basis
- Create a menu that fits the client’s needs
- Work with FS Manager & Chef to create and price special requests
- Coordinate and negotiate with Food Court vendors to supply food for catering events
- Coordinate with FS Manager & Chef on food preparations
- Coordinate with Utility workers for special room set ups
- Follow up with clients to make sure their events were successful
- Build relationships with the College and community clients
- Provide reports as requested
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Other Duties as Assigned

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Business Management, Marketing or Hospitality
1 year related experience.
High School Graduate
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to:
Accurately account for large amounts of money
Work flexible hours
Perform repetitive movements and tasks
Communicate effectively with clients
Be organized
Work in a team
Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of:
Food Service/Catering
Menu selection & preparation
Bookkeeping/accounting
Customer Service is critical
Civility and urbanity are essential attributes of the incumbent.
