Responsible for planning, set-up, preparation and execution of well-balanced and appealing employee meals in accordance with Hotel quality standards and specifications. Maintains the organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
Assists in other Kitchen sections as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Maintain excellent consistent production to ensure prompt and efficient service.
Responsible for preparing for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the employees.
Check walk-ins for leftover food items to ensure their proper rotation, storage and usage.
Knowledgeable of the operation of all kitchen machinery and maintain its cleanliness.
Clean station and ensure that all food items are properly covered and stored.
Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal.
Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
Prioritize and organize.
Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
Report irregularities and defects in equipment and machinery to the Sous Chef and Cafeteria Supervisor.
Excellent customer service focus and communication skills.
Previous upscale hotel banquet or restaurant experience required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Three years culinary training.
Previous line cook experience.
Creative, innovative and assertive personality.
Must have the appropriate certifications to Handle Food.
