Immediate Need for Relocatable Pastry Chef!
The Pastry Sous Chef / Executive Pastry Chef needs to have current experience in very upscale trendy desserts and creative presentations. The Pastry Sous Chef will be responsible to create, plan and supervise the production of INNOVATIVE top quality pastries, desserts and baked goods in a cost effective, safe manner. You will be responsible for daily production and supervision of the pastry shops hourly staff ensuring that recipes and standards are followed and high food quantity is prepared, while safety standards and regulations are enforced.
You must be able to maintain payroll/productivity within budgeted guidelines for new dessert/pastry/bread products for all outlets and banquets. You will be required to create and recommend menu changes to the Executive Chef. A Pastry Sous Chef requires advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the baking profession.
The Pastry Chef will also supervise daily cleaning, conducts inventory of walk-in boxes and performs other duties such as special orders, buffet presentations and specialty menus or promotions. Management skills are required as well as oral and communication skills. Proven experience working in an extremely fast paced environment with multiple functions happening simultaneously required.
