Complete restaurant opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools.
Cleaning all equipment areas, locking equipment doors, etc.
Set up stock and maintain work areas.
Take orders from customers, input orders in micros, and obtain payment and provide change.
Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
Prepare food, coffee and other beverages, including alcohol.
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping and storing food.
Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
Process all orders and collect payment from customers.
Provide assistance in Food and Beverage areas including busing, cleaning and resetting tables, delivering food to guests, general cleaning of food and beverage prep areas and other areas within the lobby area.
Count bank at the end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to manager, and complete safety training and certifications.
Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional.
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
Speak with others using clear and professional language.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support team to reach common goals.

Must have basic knowledge of customer service principles, the food server function and restaurant and kitchen operations. Must know standard cash-handling procedures. Must be fluent in oral and written English. Must have vision ability to clearly see detailed guest checks, computer print outs, written instructions and to observe entire restaurant in dimly lit conditions. Must have manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items in hand, and to balance and carry trays loaded with food and beverages.
Lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying up to 50 lbs. to include serving trays, carts, tables, chairs, and small equipment up to 75% of the time. Balancing, stooping kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching handling, fingering throughout the shift. Mobility – full range of mobility and ability to travel up to 300 feet on a regular basis throughout the shift. Continuous standing – during preparation, during service hours or during expediting. Must have moderate hearing to hear customers, supervisors, and communicate with other staff. Must have excellent vision to see that product is prepared appropriately. Must have moderate comprehension and literacy to read use records and all special requests. Must have ability to perform multiple tasks at one time, must be able to follow verbal and written instruction, and be able to communicate both verbally and in writing. Must be highly organized and able to pay attention to sound and sight details in crowded and noisy situations, particularly when handling multiple tasks. Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and emotional situations.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in similar positions of 3 months or longer.
Computerized order machine, basic writing materials, restaurant equipment including but not limited to coffee machines, ice machines, toasters and beverage dispensers.
Physically strenuous – prolonged standing, walking, lifting and carrying throughout entire shift in indoor environment.
