Acts as a liaison between patient care units and the Department of Foodservices.
Responsible for the distribution and collection of patient menus.
Distributes patient trays and nourishment.
Assists patients with tray setup.
Ensures a professional and appropriate service standard while performing the job.
Follows system wide standards as well as department specific service standards.
Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. in its efforts to provide quality patient care and patient satisfaction.
Directly accountable to the Patient Foodservice Manager.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
*Must display initiative in completion of daily activities.
*Strong organizational and time management skills, good oral communication skills, Computrition skills, data entry skills, patience, knowledge of 10 major therapeutic diets, exceptional customer/service skills.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
*Work is typically performed in a hospital environment.
*Previous experience in food service is desirable.
*Previous computer experience preferred.
*On-the-job training is provided.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
*Stands and walks most of the day. Stoops must be able to push, lift and carry supplies.
