Adhere to the Butler Services “Service Trademarks” to ensure a personalized service to our guests.
Greet guests upon arrival, escort them to their suite, and perform an “in-room” check-in when appropriate. Explain the facilities, services and attractions available for their comfort and pleasure and fulfill all requests for the guest with the collaboration of the VIP Services staff.
Serve meals, snacks, tea, hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and other food and beverage items in guest suites. Under the direction of the Butler Services management; plan, organize and coordinate cocktail and dinner parties, receptions, entertainment, and other functions and services upon request.
Delivery of all Room Service and Hospitality orders to floors.
Assist guests in unpacking, packing, and the selection, care and maintenance of their wardrobe. Polishes shoes, removes spots, brushes, presses, performs minor repairs to clothing items, and arranges for aundry and dry cleaning services and return of these items to the guest’s wardrobe with the assistance of Bell Services.
Arranges for personal services such as but not limited to haircutting and styling, manicure, massage, etc. Draws and assists guest with baths, dressing and other personal needs as requested at all times. Remains immediately available during assigned shift to respond to guests’ needs .
Coordinates housekeeping services by notifying Housekeeping and VIP Services of appropriate times to provide cleaning, turn down services, etc. Coordinates special requests made by the guests with Butler or VIP Services on behalf of the Casino Host or other management.
Maintains adequate par stock of Food and Beverage items necessary to meet the needs of guests as approved by Butler Services. Maintains pantry and all other assigned areas in a neat and serviceable condition. Reports deficiencies or safety hazards to Butler Services Management and coordinates corrective action. Responsible for glassware, china, silver, and linen as well as any other items such as a humidifier that may be used during a guest’s stay.
Stocks and maintains the Penthouse and VIP Lounges, Crystal Room, Baccarat Bar, and High Limit Slot area to the specifications of Butler Services as well as interacts with all necessary departments and staff to ensure a consistent level of service.
Maintains confidentiality of guest information and activities. Provides documentation on a daily basis to Butler Services of special requests and particular likes and dislikes of each guest which is to be used by the staff for future visits and updated in the Guest’s History Profiles
Allocates work time to accommodate the responsibilities assigned.
Continually updates and attends training classes as mandated to assist in advancing knowledge and skills.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
At least 4 years experience in a major resort property with proven superb customer services skills as a Butler, Personal Valet, Restaurant Captain, Maitre d’ or Food Server in a Five Star or Luxury Resort environment.
Knowledgeable and proficient in all aspects of F&B and personal valet services.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to function under time constraints and carry out standard housekeeping practices such as turn down services.
Work in a busy and noisy hotel environment with constant dirt, dust, smoke and fumes, and have the ability to work indoors with frequent changes in temperatures, being exposed to hot surfaces, steam, wet floors, sharp knives etc.
Excellent customer service skills.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Five Star or Luxury Resort employment with Food & Beverage Services experience, including bartending and knowledge of wine service.
Basic Butler Training and Wine Knowledge training.
Professional Butler or Household Management Training.
Second language skills preferred (Chinese dialect – Mandarin & Cantonese, Japanese, European and/or Middle Eastern languages helpful).
Associates or Bachelor degree.
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
