The Concierge is responsible for providing a high level of personalized service to over 2000 PFS members and 500 inpatients yearly hospitalized in the Pavilion at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, as well as other patients enrolled into the PFS program. The Concierge serves as an advocate for the PFS patient and family regarding delivery of quality services before, throughout, and after the period of care by anticipating and assuring patient/customer needs are met to their satisfaction and ensuring that care is delivered to the patient/customer seamlessly across the health system.
Directly assists patients and their family members with services such as, meals, transportation for family members, reservations for events, and the delivery of items for all ala carte services requested by the patient ensuring world class, end-to-end customer services. Ensures patient and program confidentiality is maintained at all times, as well as HIPPA compliance. />

Position Description
The Penn Medicine Patient Facilitated Services Program (PFS) is designed to provide personalized services and amenities to our Pavilion patients and PFS Members that complement our nationally recognized excellence in patient care and medical research, and provide patients with a comfortable, seamless medical experience.

Minimum Requirements
DEGREE REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• At least 3 years of comparable work experience required in a similar position within healthcare, hospitality or the hotel industry
• Healthcare experience preferred
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
• Exceptional customer service skills, tact and diplomacy required.
• Must effectively manage and maintain confidential information.
• Must effectively communicate (both written and verbal) to all levels across the organization.
• Must be results-oriented, have an aptitude for solving problems and making decisions, and be accustomed to working well with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications [Word, PowerPoint and Excel] required
• Proficiency using other software packages such as Epic, SMS, Lawson, Chartone, Navicare, Medview, DecRad, and Sunrise preferred.
• Proficiency in understanding the billing process and in using an online billing system.
Additional Information
Part time position. Will work two 8 hour shifts one weekend, one 8 hour shift the next, rotating. Will cover when other employees are out on vacation, out sick, and will cover some but not all holidays.
