Starwood is seeking a Director, Resource Management, Corporate IT professional. This position will be responsible for forecasting, tracking, and coordinating resource requests to support Corporate IT on a global basis, including permanent and contractor resources. This position works closely with IT leadership to capture skill requirements and drive long term staffing model for IT and corporate strategic initiatives. It requires analytical focus, as well as the ability to convey key messages with executive leadership.
*7 years proven global IT resource planning experience: build and operate resource management activities for a large corporate IT organization, software development company, or services company, supporting $100m annual or larger portfolio of IT projects on a global basis.
*Proven ability to lead and influence top company leaders in resource decision making processes with superior executive level written and presentation skills. Ability to work in a matrixed and team environment: ability to influence and drive outcomes across multiple functions.
*Demonstrated ability to develop bottom's up data capture processes while also building strategic quarterly and annual planning processes to forecast future resource constraints. Use of critical thinking to highlight choices & options.
*Understanding of IT resource skills, the various roles and functions of an IT organization, and trends in the marketplace potentially impacting sourcing opportunities.
*Experience creating resource planning processes from scratch: hiring and building a team, implementing time tracking and resource management tools, training associates in how to follow processes and use tools to successfully capture time and skill information, and creating executive level skills and forecasting reports.
