Director Of Outlets Jobs description
A director of outlets oversees the function of all food and beverage outlets in a hotel to ensure excellent customer service and maximize revenue and profits to support overall hotel operations. As a director of outlets, one is required to develop and implement cost-saving and profit-enhancing measures; review, prepare, and update forecasts as needed; and organize special events in the hotel restaurant. The director of outlets has to communicate with all departments to ensure that customer service needs and expectations are fulfilled. Other responsibilities of the director of outlets include developing, implementing, and changing menu items; interviewing, selecting, training, supervising, counseling, and maintaining disciplined restaurant staff; and working with the individual outlet managers to assure food and beverage quality, good service, and cleanliness.A bachelor's degree and 3-4 years of managerial experience within a resort setting is typically needed for director of outlets jobs. Directors of outlets must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to interact patiently, tactfully, and diplomatically with internal and external guests.
