Assistant Front Office Manager Jobs description

An assistant front office manager is responsible for overseeing all areas of operations related to the guest service experience for front desk, reservations, PBX, loss prevention, and guest services. An assistant front office manager maintains standards of guest service as directed by the front office manager or rooms division director. An assistant front office manager reviews VIP reservations, amenity orders, resumes for incoming and in-house guests, and the suite book to ensure proper handling of guests and groups. An assistant front office manager has to maintain contact with the reservation service regarding requests for suites and special accommodations. Control over rate changes on in-house guests is also maintained by the assistant front office manager. The job requires updating computer systems by inputting inventory and non-inventory groups, communicating with customers and employees, and preparing written reports of room availability and revenue generated.
An assistant front office manager job requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a four-year college or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. An assistant front office manager must have coordination skills as it pertains to determining time, place, and sequence of operations or actions.
