Executive Chef Jobs description

An Executive Chef handles responsibility of a restaurant’s kitchen which includes managing kitchen staff and monitoring the preparation of meals. And Executive Chef is also known as the ‘head cook’ and they are accountable for all food service operations. In addition, to managing the kitchen the professional is also responsible for planning menu, ordering foods and supplies, and deciding the service size. The individual also ensures that the meals produced in kitchen are presented and served properly and they are all of uniform quality. An Executive Chef also conducts meetings and processes the paperwork and is often accountable for preparing dishes of certain entrees that require highest level of meticulousness. To qualify for the Executive Chef Position an individual should have an advanced knowledge of cooking and its techniques. Additionally, sense of smell and taste, eye for safety and sanitation, and ability to work in a team are essential. An Associate of Bachelor’s degree from a college or cooking school with few years of experience to manage the whole team is essential to apply for this position.
