Hospitality Training Jobs description

Hospitality training involves the following responsibilities: implementation and training of housekeeping system; preparing training tools and operations manual; and system planning support, electronic follow-up, and customer care support.

Candidates interested in hospitality training must ideally have the following: Hotel School Degree or four years of housekeeping management experience; strong writing and verbal skills; proficiency in Word, Excel, and Email; and the willingness to work non-conventional hours including: weekends, evening shifts and holidays.

Hospitality training starts by determining employee hospitality qualities: identifying skills and character traits required to do a particular job; helping in choosing the right candidate for the job; helping in assigning tasks to employees by matching their abilities; preparing a job analysis to provide an insight into what the job is all about; preparing a job description; and determining personal qualities, skills, and experience needed to perform duties.

Hospitality training is then about screening for hospitality qualities: interviewing candidates by asking questions on outgoing personality, patience, the ability to accept constructive criticism, and interest in selling.

Thereafter, hospitality training is about developing an orientation and training program; cross-training which involves training employees for performing multiple tasks and jobs; developing a trainer where essential management skills such as stress management, time management, and organizational skills are emphasized upon; and practicing empowerment by delegating authority and responsibility concerning specific tasks to frontline employee of the front office managers.
